The road show is a part of Xerox's national channel strategy campaign running across cities including Indore, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Karnal, Rohtak, Raipur, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Surat, Udaipur, Ranchi, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Madurai and Vizag besides Kochi. Xerox India will showcase 8 newly launched products ranging from small, cost-effective A4 printers to monochrome MFPs in the road show targeted at the SMB community that is expected to spend 5,600 crores in printing and printing supplies in 2008, as per a report by AMI Partners.
The products to be showcased during the road show include: Xerox Phaser 3600 (40 ppm A4 mono printer), Xerox Phaser 3250 (30 ppm A4 mono printer), Xerox Phaser 5550 (50 ppm A3 mono laser printer), Xerox Phaser 3100 MFP (21 ppm A4 multifunctional printer), Xerox WorkCentre 5020 (20 ppm A3 mono multi-functional printer), Xerox WorkCentre 5016 (16 ppm A3 mono multifunctional printer), Xerox Workcentre 5225 (25 ppm A3 mono printer) and Xerox WorkCentre 5230 (30 ppm A3 mono printer).
Speaking at the occasion, Sumant Bhatia, marketing manager, channel programmes and distribution, office business group, Xerox India Limited, said, "SMB is a big opportunity in India. According to AMI Partners, India will be the fastest growing major market in the APAC region with IT spending set to increase more than 20 per cent in 2008. SMBs, which are increasingly focussing at better print quality and printer usage, will be spending 41,500 crores on IT in 2008. Xerox India is bullish about emerging markets growth potential and has identified key 16 cities that are strategic business s for the company in India."
Bhatia added further, "Xerox has always focussed on the urban markets and is now focussing on making inroads in the smaller cities. With the changing dynamics of the market, it has become imperative for us to expand our base to the tier 2 markets. Over the next fortnight, we will visit the key emerging cities to showcase our products to the partners and expand our channel partner base by educating people about the brand ‘Xerox' and the value proposition associated with it."
Added Briju Pavithran, business head, SMB, South India, Xerox India Limited, "At this point of time, we have close to 13 channel partners across Kerala and will be looking at consolidating our position by signing on over 20 strategic partners across the state in various products segments in Southern India."
